Southside Community Services is a community based, not-for-profit, non-Government organisation that has been providing a wide range of services to families and individuals living in the local area and wider ACT for more than 20 years.
The organisation manages and delivers a range of community services including community development, family support services, training services, English speaking classes in Canberra, children’s services and aged care and disability services. Services are designed to meet community needs.
These services are partly or wholly funded by the Commonwealth and ACT Government grants, client contributions and donations.
The main objectives of Southside Community Services are the relief of poverty, distress, sickness, suffering and destitution in the ACT community.
Southside is the leading agency in the ACT recognising the need to develop an early intervention domestic squalor and compulsive hoarding program to provide better outcomes for people living in such conditions.
